 Join us for the 2nd Annual Center for Child Health Equity and Outcomes Research’s Communities Aiming to Reach Equity Summit on April 3, 2024. This year’s theme will be Standing Against Structural Racism where we will focus on highlighting the state of research and practice around addressing structural racism and its impact on communities, clinical settings and the health and wellbeing of families. This year attendees will have the opportunity to engage with researchers, our local and national partners, and community members.

On April 2, 2024, WE GOT US NOW presents... 10 Million Children Inspired ~ An interactive, educational, pre-summit symposium panel presented by WE GOT US NOW, the nation's leading nonpartisan organization advocating for the health and well-being of the historically invisible population of children and young adults impacted by parental incarceration.


Interactive Panel Discussion presented by WE GOT US NOW and Reception on April 2, 2024, 4:00-6:30 p.m.

The Interactive Panel Discussion is eligible for up to 1 CE credit hour. 

CCHEOR C.A.R.E.S. Conference on April 3, 2024, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The conference is eligible for up to 6 CE credit hours.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Define Structural Racism and describe its impact on health and well-being of families and communities.
  2. Identify approaches to address structural and interpersonal racism in both community and clinical settings.
  3. Describe experiences of children of incarcerated parents and system level changes needed to address their needs.
  4. Utilize communication strategies to improve collaboration among the health care team, community partners and families.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Nationwide Children's Hospital is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team.
