Overview
This conference is targeted towards medical professionals from all backgrounds, including physicians, nurses, allied health practitioners, trainees, and administrators. Attendees will learn best practices and strategies to apply to their online presence. Whether it is for individual use as a medical professional, or as an organization, attendees will learn practical tips to implement immediately through social media channels. Specific topics include both basic principles surrounding podcasting and writing medical blogs as well as challenging areas such as online harassment, compliance with social media policies, and combatting misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Regardless of background, attendees will learn about how the general public utilizes social media for medical information as well as important tips and pearls to enhance their own professional online presence.
