This training is part of the Partners for Kids-Behavioral Health Education Series! Registration is intended for Partners for Kids providers. A Zoom link and further instructions will be sent closer to the actual training date.

This series provides participants with the opportunity to learn from internal experts in the behavioral health field. Relevant behavioral health topics and evidence-based practice tools are presented in a monthly lecture format.

 

Session description: This webinar will focus on how the judicious, habitual use of critical thinking and reflective practice in clinical supervision can foster supervisees’ professional independence.

1. Define critical thinking and its role in reflective practice in clinical supervision.
2. Identify ways in which critical thinking can promote best patient outcomes and foster lifelong professional development.
3. Identify specific critical thinking strategies that supervisors and supervisees can use to ensure that they are delivering optimal care.
4. Identify at least two actions step in one’s individual professional development plan to promote the judicious and habitual use of critical thinking in supervision.
5. Utilize strategies to improve communication among the healthcare team.

In support of improving patient care, Nationwide Children's Hospital is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC),  and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team.
