Drs Kaitrin Kramer, Ibby Khansa and Greg Pearson visit the studio as we consider the management of class III malocclusion (underbite) with bone-anchored maxillary protraction (BAMP) and Bollard plates. 1. Define bone-anchored maxillary protraction (BAMP) and Bollard plates.
2. Compare and contrast BAMP with traditional surgery.
3. Recognize medical conditions that can be treated with BAMP and Bollard plates.
4. Provide pre- and post-operative anticipatory guidance for children treated with BAMP and Bollard plates.
