Overview
Seminars in Pediatric Neurology is a topical journal that is published four times a year. The journal publishes in-depth reviews covering all aspects of the developing nervous system. Among the topics covered are: epilepsy, mitochondrial diseases, congenital malformations, chromosomal abnormalities, diseases of the peripheral nervous system, stroke, cerebral palsy, as well as other diseases affecting the nervous system of the young – from fetal to early adulthood. The articles published by Seminars in Pediatric Neurology are of particular interest to pediatricians, pediatric neurologists, pediatric neuropathologists, pediatric neurosurgeons, behavioral pediatricians, pediatric nurses, pediatric nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pediatric psychologists, and neuroscientists. By offering continuous education credits, Seminars in Pediatric Neurology provides members of medical professions a vehicle to satisfy their academic curiosity and meet professional learning requirements. With every issue, the journal’s Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor select two articles that highlight cutting-edge science. If said articles are not financed by the authors, they will be made freely accessible for a period of time. Completing a questionnaire based on the contents of the papers will afford readers one credit of continuing education each.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify information necessary to accurately diagnose and use that information to develop a treatment plan for the patient.
  2. Critically evaluate treatments available for patients with various diseases.
  3. Communicate new information and implement strategies with colleagues and trainees.

Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Nationwide Children's Hospital is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC),  and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team.
