Overview

The on-demand course, which will remain available until February 28, 2022, has seven modules. You will need to register for each module you would like to take. A full list of the modules with hyperlinks to their registration pages can be accessed by clicking on the "Brochure" button.

 

Please join us for the 37th Annual School Health Update Conference hosted by Nationwide Children's Hospital. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are making recorded sessions available on-demand mid-December 2021 through February 28, 2022. Speakers for this conference will deliver material on the following topics - Whole Child Framework, vaccine hesitancy, anxiety, gun safety, trauma informed care, diabetes, and dentistry. We encourage school nurses, school administration and other public health professionals involved in caring for children and families through schools to take part.


ANCC Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify new evidence-based practices in pediatric care that support student health.
  2. Describe key roles of school nurses in the implementation of ODE's Whole Child Strategic Plan.
  3. Integrate updated practices in pediatric care into the day to day care for students in the school setting.
  4. Celebrate the significance difference school nurses have toward achieving equity in care for children.

Registration

Registration fees  per each of the seven modules are:

Nationwide Children's Staff - $10 per module

General Registration - $15 per module

 


Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Nationwide Children's Hospital is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC),  and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
