BH Education Teletherapy Series: The Basics of Engagement (Home Study)

In order to be effective in teletherapy practice, practitioners need to know the basics of good telehealth etiquette. Through this training, practitioners will better understand steps they can take to explain telehealth to clients, set up or adapt their current practice space to lend itself more to telehealth practice, and transition their rapport building techniques to be most effective in a distanced platform. This training aims to increase practitioner confidence in delivering telehealth as well as enhancing the client experience

1. Explain telehealth to their clients and families in a clear and understandable way
2. Establish an appropriate physical space set up for successful telehealth visits
3. Modify traditional rapport building measures to telehealth platforms

In support of improving patient care, Nationwide Children's Hospital is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC),  the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to IPCE@nationwidechildrens.org.

Nationwide Children's Hospital reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.
