Overview
Join leading clinicians, researchers, and interdisciplinary care team members for a comprehensive exploration of cerebral palsy across the lifespan. This conference will provide a foundation in the diagnosis, classification, and management of CP while highlighting current concepts and emerging advances in clinical care. Sessions will explore evidence-based approaches to rehabilitation, orthopedic and surgical management, gait and tone disorders, health and wellness, genetics, and research. Attendees will also gain valuable insights from individuals with lived experience and families, helping to inform clinical decision-making and improve outcomes through collaborative, patient- and family-centered care.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe current concepts in cerebral palsy, including diagnosis, classification systems, and lifelong impact on function and health outcomes.
  2. Apply evidence-based approaches to the assessment and management of common cerebral palsy-related conditions, including movement disorders, musculoskeletal complications, common medical conditions and functional limitations.
  3. Evaluate the indications, benefits, and limitations of therapeutic, orthotic, pharmacologic, and surgical interventions used in cerebral palsy care.
  4. Incorporate principles of shared decision-making and patient- and family-centered care into treatment planning for individuals with cerebral palsy across the lifespan.
  5. Recognize opportunities to collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop coordinated, comprehensive care strategies that optimize functional outcomes, participation, and quality of life for individuals with cerebral palsy.

Accreditation
