Inter-professional conference providing enhanced knowledge pertaining to pathophysiology, diagnosis , treatment and prevention of common and emerging infectious diseases. Education is provided through lecture presentations, case studies and a multidisciplinary discussion panel with opportunity for questions and answers.

1. Discuss the most current updates in evidence and research based knowledge in diagnosing treating and preventing various infections diseases
2. Review the latest updates in Redbook and incorporate into their practice.
3. Incorporate a multidisciplinary collaborative approach to treating encephalitis
4. Implement the most current treatment of skin and soft tissue infections into practice.
5. Analyze the latest evidence related to worldwide emerging infectious diseases.
6. Recognize occurrence , diagnosis, treatment and care of syphilis
7. Outline and discuss school-nurse duties and experience with infectious diseases

Register before end of day Friday, February 13 to receive the published discounted rate on in-person Physician and Nurse/Other HCP early registration rates. The rate will increase after this date. All registration closes on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Cancellation Policy

We are unable to accommodate requests to convert in-person registration to virtual participation after registration closes on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].

Nationwide Children's Hospital reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.

Thank you for your interest in the 43rd Annual Dwight A. Powell Pediatric Infectious Diseases Conference in conjunction with the 41st Annual Pediatric Infectious Diseases Nursing Conference. The conference will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Conference Center.  
We are honored to host physician and nursing experts from Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We anticipate an attendance of approximately 200 physicians, nurses, and other pediatric care providers from Ohio and the contiguous states to convene for this annual conference.
