Overview

Pediatric Grand Rounds provides a forum for recognized experts to present state-of-the-art information regarding diagnosis and treatment of pediatric diseases, outline diagnostic approaches, provide updates on new research, and discuss clinical management related to the care and management of the pediatric patient. Pediatric Grand Rounds is held every Thursday from 8-9am and recorded for those who cannot attend the live session.


Objective(s): 1 Improve recognition, diagnosis, and management of pediatric problems 2 Evaluate current practice against best available evidence and implement appropriate changes. 3 Identify and initiate quality improvement opportunities to improve practice. 4 Critically examine the evidence of new or modified clinical information and implement appropriate changes

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Analyze various breast conditions in adolescents: macromastia, breast asymmetry and gynecomastia.
  2. Identify the physical and psychosocial impacts of breast conditions in adolescents.
  3. Review surgical and psychosocial outcomes of breast surgery.
  4. Summarize the role of a multidisciplinary team in the care of breast conditions in adolescents.
