“I just want us to be heard”: A collaborative approach to understanding perinatal experiences among Women of Color (WOC), Session Two

Continuing education for all stakeholders across the perinatal care environment on racial bias, stigma, discrimination, and the effects of structural racism in reproductive health. This effort is in support of our community goal to create equitable Black patient experiences and outcomes in infant mortality.

1. Describe challenges and barriers identified by women of color that impact perinatal outcomes
2. Discuss how a collaborative, community-engaged research methodology can elevate the voices of traditionally marginalized groups to inform system and policy change
3. Describe how human centered-design and co-creation build leadership skills and capacity

In support of improving patient care, Nationwide Children's Hospital is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC),  the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
