Overview

This conference will present material covering a variety of infectious diseases seen in the pediatric population, as encountered by various primary care professionals. Our goal is to assist the attendees in utilizing the most up-to-date diagnostic techniques and therapeutic options to improve the management of these conditions. This conference provides the most current research and evidence-based information on prevention, diagnosing, and treating a variety of current and emerging pediatric infectious diseases. 


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Discuss the most current updates in evidence and research-based knowledge in diagnosing, treating, and preventing various current and emerging various infectious diseases
  2. Discuss health requirements for international travel for pediatric patients
  3. List a number of updates from the Red Book
  4. List four presentations of M pneumoniae infections in children.
  5. List diseases caused by Entero and Parecho viruses
  6. Discuss the management of invasive Group A strep infections
  7. State the multidisciplinary care of patients with Influenza A complicated by Streptococcus pneumoniae

Registration

Register before Friday, February 16 to receive the published discounted rate on in-person Physician and Nurse/Other HCP early registration rates. The rate will increase $25 after this date. All registration closes on Friday, April 12, 2024.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to IPCE@nationwidechildrens.org.
