Overview
The 2024 Pediatric Asthma Conference highlight emerging information and practical advice regarding asthma management for providers of asthma patients across all levels of care. This conference is designed for pediatricians, family practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, pharmacists and clinical staff from hospital, urgent care, primary care and school facilities with students/patients who have asthma and allergies.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Explore the asthma trajectory from childhood and beyond.
  2. Explore the unique relationship between exercise and asthma.
  3. Discuss how to evaluate a chronic cough in the pediatric population.
  4. Review and practice patient education tools and training devices for pediatric asthma patients.
  5. Explore environmental counseling to treat acute asthma exacerbations.
  6. Review new pediatric asthma literature topics over the past year.

- General Registration- Early Bird (until March 8) = $150
- General Registration (March 9-April 26) = $200
- NCH Staff & Affiliate Registration (must use NCH email address) = $125
- Fellow/Resident/Student Registration (proof of status req.) = $75

REGISTRATION CLOSES FRIDAY, APRIL 26, 2024.

The conference will offer AMA PRA Category 1 credits (6.00 hours) and ANCC contact hours (6.00 hours).  Respiratory therapists can earn CE credit from these entities. 


Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Nationwide Children's Hospital is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team.

 No requests for converting registration format will be accepted after April 19, 2024.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
