Dr. Nicole R. Washington is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and an Attending Physician in General Pediatrics, Section of Hospital Medicine at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Washington completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Virginia and a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and she is currently completing a Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics Program through the University of Pennsylvania's College of Liberal and Professional Studies. Dr. Washington completed her pediatrics residency and chief residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia prior to becoming faculty within the Division of Pediatrics. She has been in clinical practice as an Attending Physician and an Associate Program Director for the CHOP Pediatric Residency Program for the past 8 years. She also serves as Medical Director for the Physician Supervisor for Patient Flow (PSPF) Program and General Pediatric Resident Services. Dr. Washington's academic interests center around clinical operations, medical education (curriculum development), leadership coaching and development, and the recruitment and retention of minority trainees/faculty within academic medicine.
