Karla Vaz, MD, MEd, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She sub-specializes in Motility Disorders and is a member of the Neurogastroenterology and Motility Center. Dr. Vaz attended the University of Florida for both her undergraduate and medical education. She completed her pediatric residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and her Master of Medical Education at the University of Cincinnati. Her clinical interests include gastrointestinal dysmotility with a focus on constipation and fecal incontinence. She has worked with Partners for Kids to develop numerous educational tools for Primary Pediatricians and families to help manage functional constipation in the primary care setting.
