Tendy Chiang, MD is a pediatric otolaryngologist and a principal investigator in the Center for Regenerative Medicine at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. His research program is devoted to defining the mechanisms of regeneration in airway basal cells, the development of tissue-engineered grafts for airway reconstruction, and innovative translational approaches to improve outcomes in airway surgery. He has published over 70 peer reviewed publications, 8 book chapters, and mentored dozens of undergraduate, medical, and post-doctoral trainees. His laboratory has been consistently funded by the NIH since 2017.
