Dr. Megan Schaefer is a pediatric psychologist in Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant, Chronic Pain, and Palliative Care at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. She specializes in providing psychosocial care to children and families impacted by serious illness, including bereaved children and parents. Dr. Schaefer completed her graduate training in child clinical psychology at Auburn University, her internship at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and her fellowship at St Jude Children's Research Hospital. Dr. Schaefer is an active member of the Sibling Partnership for Advocacy, Research, and Care in Childhood Cancer (SPARCCC). She also previously served as the Co-Chair of the Palliative Care and End-of-Life Special Interest Group within the Society of Pediatric Psychology. Lastly, Dr. Schaefer volunteers as a member of the Central Ohio Grief Care Coalition and serves on the Medical Advisory Board and Psychosocial Committee of Flying Horse Farms, a camp dedicated to supporting children and families impacted by pediatric serious illness.
