Overview

Join us for the 2026 Ohio Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Annual Conference! The Ohio EMSC Annual Conference is a statewide educational event designed to advance the clinical knowledge and skills of EMS and emergency department professionals in pediatric emergency care. Through lectures, breakout sessions, panel discussion, and hands-on workshops, participants will engage in evidence-based learning focused on improving outcomes for children in emergency settings. The activity promotes interprofessional collaboration and supports the integration of pediatric-focused protocols and quality improvement strategies across emergency care systems.

Our morning keynote will feature Aaron Jensen, MD, MEd, MS, FACS, FAAP, Pediatric and Trauma Surgeon, Associate Trauma Medical Director at University of California San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital, and Associate Professor of Surgery and Associate Director of Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at UCSF. Dr. Jensen will share insights on advancing pediatric readiness in emergency departments and prehospital systems, drawing on his national leadership with the Emergency Medical Services for Children Innovation and Improvement Center (EIIC) and expertise in pediatric trauma care. In addition, we will celebrate excellence in pediatric emergency care during the Ohio EMSC Pediatric Clinical Save Awards Program in the morning, recognizing Ohio EMS and ED professionals whose teamwork and pediatric competencies resulted in positive outcomes for children.

The Ohio EMSC Annual Conference is an opportunity to elevate your knowledge and skillset, connect with experts, and champion pediatric readiness across Ohio.  The activity promotes interprofessional collaboration and supports the integration of pediatric-focused protocols and quality improvement strategies across emergency care systems. We look forward to welcoming you to a day of learning, collaboration, and innovation in pediatric emergency care.
